Case study / architecture studio website
Ateliér
Formé
Space for the architects’ work.
I designed and developed Formé’s website around its architectural projects. Visitors choose a house or interior, open its project page and explore photographs or visualisations. The portfolio leads to the architects and their services. I worked from the studio’s identity; the architecture and imagery belong to Formé and their authors.
- My contribution
- Website design and development, including pages, galleries and interactions
- Context
- Next.js; Ateliér Formé’s identity
- What the example demonstrates
- From choosing a project to its images
Visual identity, architecture and imagery: Ateliér Formé and the respective authors.

Enlarge previewChoosing and viewing a project
From the portfolio to one house.
- Need
- Visitors need to find the right type of work and open a project.
- My implementation
- I designed the index so visitors can choose a type of architecture, then focus on one project. Each card connects an image with the name and scope of the work. The RD Novoměstská page shows the sequence of project details, opening visualisation and further views.
- Behaviour shown
- The overview and desktop and mobile detail show the same project.

Galleries and controls
Six views of RD Novoměstská.
- Need
- Visitors need to inspect project images and leave the viewer.
- My implementation
- The gallery shows the house design inside and out. Visitors can scan the image overview, then open a chosen view at a larger size. I added arrows, closing and keyboard controls. The opening slideshow can be paused and does not autoplay with reduced motion.
- Behaviour shown
- The numbered grid and enlarged image show two different gallery states.

Introducing the studio
The portfolio leads to the architects.
- Need
- The portfolio needs to connect with the services and the people behind them.
- My implementation
- I added services, the working process and an introduction to the architects. Visitors can move from a project to the people who designed it and their contact details. The finished site combines a filtered portfolio, individual project pages and galleries on desktop and mobile.
- Behaviour shown
- The homepage and About page connect the work with the studio introduction.
